 Hello ,

Facebook is not pulling images added to my articles when articles are shared although there is an OG:IMAGE tag with dimensions well above the required 200px.

Any ideas how this is happening?

<!-- sh404SEF OGP tags -->
<meta property="og:locale" content="en_GB" />
<meta property="og:title" content="PPP suspends campaign to mourn Eva Lokko | xxxx.com" />
<meta property="og:type" content="article" />
<meta property="og:url" content="http://www.xxxx.com/general-news/ppp-suspends-campaign-to-mourn-eva-lokko.html" />
<meta property="og:image" content="http://www.xxxx.com/images/2016/oct/08/ppp.jpg" />
<meta property="og:image:width" content="630" />
<meta property="og:image:height" content="350" />
<meta property="og:site_name" content="xxxx.com" />

Hi

If I try to load this image, http://www.xxxx.com/images/2016/oct/08/ppp.jpg, I get a 403 Forbidden access error.

You have a problem on your server setup.

Thank you for the response.
Only that image is giving a 403 error. The rest are loading fine but facebook is still not pulling the images.
Kindly CHECK the links below and their corresponding images and try to share them on facebook.

Hi

The job of sh404SEF is to output OG tags. The tags are created exactly as they should on your pages, and we have no influence on what FB do with that information.

What does the Facebook debugger says?

This is the code generated by the page.

<!-- sh404SEF OGP tags -->
<meta property="og:locale" content="en_GB" />
<meta property="og:title" content="PPP suspends campaign to mourn Eva Lokko | xxxx.com" />
<meta property="og:type" content="article" />
<meta property="og:url" content="http://www.xxxx.com/general-news/ppp-suspends-campaign-to-mourn-eva-lokko.html" />
<meta property="og:image" content="http://www.xxxx.com/images/2016/oct/08/ppp.jpg" />
<meta property="og:image:width" content="630" />
<meta property="og:image:height" content="350" />
<meta property="og:site_name" content="xxxx.com" />
<meta property="fb:app_id" content="946493835400498" />
<!-- sh404SEF OGP tags - end -->

This is what the debugger says
Object at URL 'http://www.xxxx.com/general-news/ppp-suspends-campaign-to-mourn-eva-lokko.html' of type 'article' is invalid because it specifies multiple 'og:url' values: http://www.xxxx.com/general-news/ppp-suspends-campaign-to-mourn-eva-lokko.html, http://www.xxxx.com/general-news/ppp-suspends-campaign-to-mourn-eva-lokko.html.

File on the server is less than 200KB. NB. file is loading now [xxxx]

BUT FACEBOOK IS STILL NOT PULLING THE IMAGES.

THANKS A LOT FOR THE HELP IN ADVANCE

Hi

Well, that seems pretty clear and explicite: look at the source code of your page: you have another plugin adding og tags. Either disable sh404SEF OGP tags, or that other plugin.
