I have sh404SEF installed on a couple websites. The Configuration is set up identical on both. The url shortening seems to be working fine on both sites and there are numerous articles posted. I am using K2 for items and I have a K2 for sh404SEF plugin enabled.

For whatever reason the last two articles I have posted to xxxx.com i.e. http://xxxx.com/articles-by-rae/job-interviewing. The article is posted, yet when I click on the title or the Readmore link it loads http://xxxx.com/job-search-interviewing/should-i-be-honest-on-linkedin-about-being-jobless-or-should-i-hide-it but then gives this message:
ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

All the other articles seem to work fine, just not any newly published ones.

I have tried clearing the cookies as the error message suggests but that hasn't helped. It happens on four different browsers and two different computers so I don't think the problem is at my end.

When I go back to the original item in K2 and remove the Readmore link, then publish, it of course displays the whole article at http://xxxx.com/articles-by-rae/job-interviewing and the title when clicked on doesn't generate the too many redirect error message.

The other site has the same setting for sh404SEF and it works fine.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

1 - Why do you think these redirects are done by sh404SEF?

2 - Have you any value for the Site domain in Joomla SEF system plugin?

3 -
All the other articles seem to work fine, just not any newly published ones.
What has changed then? any other plugins added, updated (specifically anything related to canonical URLs, or 404s)? change in server? updates to the server? updates to the .htaccess file?

4 - What are the non-sef(s) recorded for /job-search-interviewing/should-i-be-honest-on-linkedin-about-being-jobless-or-should-i-hide-it in the URL manager?

5 - Did you manually customize any of those links?

6 - What happens if you disable (assuming they are enabled):

- 301 redirect www/non-www
- 301 redirect from non-sef to sef URL
- 301 redirect url to correct case

Success!

The - 301 redirect url to correct case, was the culprit.

Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it!

Hi

What type of web server are you using? This should work fine, at least on linux servers
