There is similar question in topic #1598 for the first question

1. Is there a way to choose for meta name="twitter:image" to pull from intro or full image from article without hack?
2. Same question for meta name="twitter:card" content="summary_large_image" - someone posted a hack but looking for permanent solution.

Yes, these features have been incorporated into the August and November versions. Please check outthe changelog in the documentation for a list of changes we added recently.

Yes, my mistake for not reading changelog.

But still, we don't use many images directly in article. We mostly use intro or full article image and sh404 is not picking those images.
