It's rather the opposite: K2 is compatible with sh404SEF. They provide a specific sh404SEF plugin to build URLs and you can configure - to some extent - the URL structure from K2 settings.
We do not offer any demo or trial version, that's rather difficult to do with a GPL-licensed product where we provide the full source code of all our products. We do offer refunds though.
