Hi,

I've a site with some urls as this: www.example.com/en/gallery/category/tag.html?tagid=1 that I'd like rewrite so: en/tag/alias-item.

Can I do it with your component?

Many thanks, regards.

Hi

It only depends on which extension create those links, and whether we provide support for it. As this looks like a tag from a gallery component, it's unlikely that we do. You can of course write yourself a plugin to provide fully SEF URLs support for this extension.

Hi, thanks for your answer.

Yes I'm testing phocagallery and its tags function, could I re-write its "primitive" urls? (index.php?option=com_phocagallery ecc...)

If possible, I have other questions:

1) My site's others url are written ed indexed so: en/alias or en/category/alias, will sh404sef edit them after installation? Or Could I edit the urls that I need (and not other?)

2) In my Joomla I have the sef/multilanguage native system actived, could be it a problem?

Many thanks for your time!
Regards!

If you create a plugin, you can create any kind of URLs you like, for any PhocaGallery URL.

1 - A difference can be that we do not use menu item aliases to build URLs, at least for Joomla content. Differences in URLs is usually a matter of configuring the URL structure in sh404SEF. You can also manually customize any URL on your site to exactly what you want. See documentation for more details, here.

2 - That's very fine.

Hi, many thanks for your answer, I will study how to create a plugin and your documentation.

If I understand well, if I have some urls as these:

- en/contact

- en/blog/article-name

- en/gallery/gallery-name

They don't change after the component installation (If I don't change them from the administrative panel, right?)

2) To exclude a component to sh404sef rewrite, it's enough to disable the corresponding plugin or not to have it (right?)

Many thanks!

Hi

1 - No idea. It depends on how you created those links in the first place. sh404SEF will create links such as /en/category/article. You can configure wether you want the category to appear (and how many if you have multiple nested categories). If "blog" is a category, then the URLs will be the same. If "blog" is just a menu item, then no, the URLs won't be the same.

As for PhocaGallery, we use the PhocaGallery SEF URL plugin, so the URLs should be pretty much the same.

Your mileage will vary, and at this stage you have to try.

2 - There are settings to include/exclude components from sh404SEF hadnling, with varying degrees.

Thank you very much for the time dedicated to me, I have no other questions.

I will order your component as soon as possible.

Many Regards!
