Wizard display

The configuration wizard is displayed only once, right after the first installation of 4SEF and when you visit its dashboard for the firs time.

Currently, it only prompts you whether you want to enable 4SEF right away and offers to do so.

sh404SEF import wizard

If sh404SEF is detected on your website, 4SEF will offer to run the sh404SEF import wizard before running the 4SEF configuration wizard. You can however run the sh404SEF import wizard later on, and multiple times, from the SEF URLs page.

URL rewriting configuration

If you use Joomla's URL rewriting feature, you must have properly configured your .htaccess file (or an equivalent mechanism for the web server you are using) prior to enabling Joomla URL rewriting.

Using 4SEF does not change this, 4SEF itself only alter the URLs created, not how your webserver may handle them.
