Reporting options

There are only a few options here, but they should help you make the best of 4Analytics reporting capabilities

Calendar

Select day a week starts on configuration

Different places around the world start the week on different days, so you can pick here whatever is your preferred day.

You will need to Rebuild aggregate data if you change the day the week starts on.

Send reports by email

As mentioned earlier, 4Analytics can send out summary reports by email to recipients of your chosing.

Recipients

Configure emailed summary reports recipients

Configuration is limited to the strict minimum: 4Analytics can send daily, weekly and monthly reports.

You have 3 input fields, one for each type of reporting period. Enter the list of emails adresses that should receive these reports in each field:

  • Adresses can appear in several input fields, as the same user can receive both daily and weekly report for instance
  • These addresses don't have to be those of registered Joomla users, they can be any email address

Emailed summary reports only contains 8 major indicators of the website operation for the period. But they also contain 2 links to online version of the simple and detailed reports.

Users receiving the emailed summaries can click these links to access the full reports online, without password or having to log in. All details on emailed links are here.

You can disable the links inclusion in emailed reports using the Include links to online report option.

Configure emailed summary reports links inclusion

In addition, you can also Reset online links password. That password is used internally by 4Analytics to encode the links, make sure they have not been modified and expire them after 30 days.

Resetting that password will immediately invalidate all existing report links. Only links created after that reset will work.

Users don't need to know the password to access online reports. The link is enough.

Fill line charts areas

Chart line fill

You can customize the way charts look in reports by enabling or disabling chart areas fill with this option.

This option only applies if there are only 1 or 2 lines in a given chart. If there are more than 2 lines in a chart, 4Analytics will not fill the chart area, as this renders the chart unreadable anyway.
